Well, we’ve been around since 1987. Long time, I know. In fact feel free to read more about company history. We started back in the days fabricating laminate kitchen countertops and solid wood cabinets. We then adopted corian which is a solid surface material also used for countertops. Then we found Silestone, in fact we were one of the first kitchen remodeling companies to adopt and fabricate Silestone. Side note if I may, we actually won this years “Fabricator of the Year Award” issued by Cosentino USA on January 22nd, 2014. This is a great accomplishment for us.

Anyways, where was I… oh yes, so then we started fabricating granite countertops and because we had the team, experience and exact skills, we started remodeling entire kitchens! Yeap we’ve done hundreds of them by now, and we currently remodel 20 to 25 kitchen every month. So you see, we have the right experience, skills and team to perform a successful remodel of your kitchen.

One of the interesting things about our company is that we are a single source. What this means is that we DO NOT outsource any of our work to sub-contractors or anything of the sort. Yes, truly amazing! You installed our countertops about five years ago… black granite with a white/multi-color island…a total of over 45 square feet of beauty. The black countertops with the contrasting island took plain white cabinets (with black hardware) into another dimension. Everyone who sees our kitchen for the first time just says what a beautiful place. Thank you for making my vision a reality.

Great job on the installation!
The leader installer was a bit rude though I do not think he was intentionally being this way. He began the day by laying into me about the necessity of providing a correct phone number as he had been calling my land line where my mother-in-law was babysitting my son versus my cell phone, which I had at the rental property. He then went on to say he had to take pictures of everything so if I accused him of wrong doing, he would have proof that he was not at fault. I actually understood why he was taking photos and never commented upon it. His comments were on his own accord and were stated in a way that were rather offensive. Otherwise, he was pleasant and did a good job. No issues with actual install.
The plumber was very pleasant and also did an excellent job.

Hi, Betsy,
You probably know that the first set of kitchen countertops was installed today. All I can say is “Wow!” I expected a lot, but they exceed all my expectations.

In addition to thanking you, I owe a big “thank you” to two people in Silver Spring who helped with the selection. Chase Barnes (an easy name for me to remember) identified the countertop in the Kraftmaid brochure picture I’m using as my model as Alpina White (which I never would have gotten.) A young lady there whose name I didn’t get for sure (it was something like “Soi” or Shoi) helped with all the other selections from the wood, paint, and tile samples I had. I am color challenged and am always tense when I have to pick a color for something that’s going to last a long time. She was so good at what I’m so bad at, and the choices she guided me to just couldn’t have worked out better.

Greg tells me the two remaining measurements will be taken Friday. These are the “L” part of the kitchen and the Butler’s Pantry.

To confirm/update what we discussed before:
The “L” (whose sides are 15+’ by approx 54″) is to be Lyra ; double radius edge; no backsplash.
The Butler’s Pantry (about 45″) is to be Alpina White; double ogee edge; 4″ backsplash on all three sides.

Hello Mr. and Mrs. Reading, I would answer all your questions in order… Yes they were very professional from the day one. Yes my house was cleaned every evening. They are good at planning, exceeded my expectations in terms of moving my project date earlier to fit my needs and worked right on schedule. everything was done on time as promised. The kitchen cabinets were delivered directly to my home, I had done my own research about cabinet company. Its Waypoint cabinets manufactured locally in Winchester. They are high end quality cabinets and company is good to work with as far as customer service concern. I like to support local vendors and USA made products. I am really pleased with the function and quality of cabinets.

Then they measured for granite countertops, and counters installed after two days along with dishwasher and gas stove. (I used this time to have my vinyl floor installed) then backsplash was measured and installed in a day.
There was one drawer next to my range which could not open all the way because of my stove’s design. I upgraded my range from standard (4 burners) to 5 burner which has a bulging handle that prevented the drawer from opening. I was willing to keep it and open only half way but Jason was determined to fix it. He came up with an idea of a smaller face plate which has modified the cosmetic look in the corner but its very minor and worth to have a functional space.
In my opinion, Jason is a fair, reasonable and very honest to his work. He is always prompt in responding to your calls. I had some other estimates from other vendors but I am glad I went with counter intelligence. I will strongly recommend you guys for any project.

I am enjoying my new kitchen that was completed in six days. I want to commend you on your crew especially Paul and Sean who were the most considerate and professional workers I have encountered. They were prepared for work everyday on my kitchen utilizing all their skills in getting the project completed on schedule. When they encountered a problem with the renovations, they found a solution quickly and efficiently. Paul and Sean are a good team and I found that they were diligent and meticulous. I appreciated their combined efforts to make my kitchen remodel a success. How long does the process take?
We will install your tops in a few hours with scheduled appointments in the morning or afternoon. From template to install is normally less than 5 business days

Do I have to remove my old countertops prior to template?
No, we can template over top of your existing tops.

What do I need to do before you template?
Just clear your countertops of any loose items such as jars, appliances, papers, cookbooks, etc.

How do my current tops get removed prior to install?
Counter Intelligence, Inc. offers a Tear Out and Reconnect Service that includes all necessary tear-out, plumbing disconnect/reconnect services for a smooth, easy job.

What about plumbing, electrical and gas connections after my counter are installed?
We offer all of these services for your convenience and will be happy to quote a price for your specific needs. With our Tear Out and Reconnect Service we guarantee that you will have a working kitchen in one day!

Do I get to select my granite slabs?
Yes. We have multiple locations for you to view and purchase the slabs that will be used for your project.

Is there a warranty associated with your granite countertops?
Yes. We only use Grade A, 1st cut stone. We never use commercial or 2nd cut stone. Your new granite countertop from Counter Intelligence comes with a 15-Year Stain Warranty .

Do I have to re-seal my granite countertops?
No, we use IntelliGuard, a proprietary stone treatment that will not wash or wear away.

How do I clean my new granite countertops?
Simply use soapy water or a gentle household cleaner. We also offer a proprietary cleaner that will bring out a shine that will keep your tops looking like new for a lifetime.

Do I have to supply you with measurements for my countertop estimate?
We need basic, approximate dimensions for your estimate. A Counter Intelligence representative can assist you with the measuring process and we can quote your job off of an average sized countertop and get specific dimensions from our templating process.

If my kitchen is being remodeled, how can I give you my countertop dimensions?
Please forward your new kitchen layout or blueprints to your Counter Intelligence, Inc. Representative or bring them with you when you visit us.

If I am using a Contractor, does the contractor need to be involved in this process?
Yes. We will need your contractor to assist us in scheduling your template and install. You can include him in the quoting and selection process at one of our Warehouse Locations if you like, but that is not necessary.
